Why I Chose This...

I see dehydrated skin more than almost anything else.

And so often, people don't even realise that's what they're looking at.

Their skin might feel tight but become oily.

It might look dull.

It simply doesn't feel like it's functioning at its best.

And the instinct is often to do more.

More exfoliation.

More actives.

More products.

I wanted QUENCH to be the opposite.

Something that could make a real difference to dehydrated skin in a delicate, kind way.

A lightweight serum that gives skin a much-needed moisture boost without making skincare feel complicated or heavy.

With Hyaluronic Acid alongside Aloe Juice, Glycerin, Betaine and Jojoba Oil, plus soothing Bisabolol, QUENCH gives us a targeted way to support skin that's asking for hydration and comfort.

Because sometimes the biggest transformation doesn't come from doing more to your skin.

It comes from finally giving your skin what it's been asking for.

How To Use
Lorna's Top Tips

One of the biggest things I want you to understand is:

Dry skin and dehydrated skin aren't the same thing.

Dry describes a skin type associated with oil production.

Dehydration is about a lack of water.

That's why someone can tell me:

“But my skin gets oily... surely it can't be dehydrated?”

It absolutely can.

Before adding more acids, exfoliation or targeted actives, ask yourself whether your skin might simply be asking for hydration.

Sometimes giving skin what it's missing changes everything.

FAQs

Is Quench only for dry skin?

No.

It's for normal, dry, and mature skin and identifies dehydrated skin as a key concern.

And importantly, dry and dehydrated aren't the same thing.

QUENCH is particularly useful when dehydration is what we're trying to address.

What's the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?

Dry skin is a skin type associated with insufficient oil.

Dehydration describes skin lacking water.

That means dehydration can occur even when somebody doesn't consider their skin dry.

This is exactly why identifying what your skin actually needs matters more than simply choosing products according to how oily or dry it appears.

My skin gets oily. Could it still be dehydrated?

Yes.

Oil and water aren't the same thing.

Skin can produce oil while still lacking water.

If dehydration is suspected, the answer isn't automatically to strip away more oil.

We look at the skin as a whole and work out what it's actually asking for.

Is Quench just Hyaluronic Acid?

No.

Hyaluronic Acid is part of the formula, but QUENCH also contains Aloe Juice, Jojoba Oil, Glycerin, Betaine, Rose Flower Water, Bisabolol and botanical extracts including Cloudberry and Peony.

That's one of the reasons I love it.

We're not hanging the entire product on one fashionable ingredient.

We choose ingredients for function, not fashion.

Will Quench feel heavy?

The supplier specifically describes QUENCH as lightweight and “light-as-air,” with a silky skin feel.

So this isn't about piling a heavy product onto dehydrated skin.

It's targeted hydration in a lightweight serum.

Do I still need moisturiser after Quench?

Yes.

QUENCH is your Refine step.

Your moisturiser is your Hydrate step.

The serum gives us targeted hydration; your moisturiser then completes the Hydrate stage of your SMS routine.

What's the difference between Quench and Rewind?

QUENCH is primarily about dehydration and moisture.

REWIND is our targeted age-supporting serum for concerns including fine lines, loss of firmness, elasticity and plumpness.

There is some overlap. Both formulas offer hydration, but we choose according to your main skin goal.

QUENCH: My skin is thirsty.

REWIND: My skin is changing and I want more targeted age support.
